Does temperature rise right before your period

I'm currently running a low grade fever between 37.5 to 37.9.

I am due my period in a day now. I don't know of this is period related. I do sometimes have a high temperature around my period. But I don't know if this will be something else too.

A condition known as diverticulosis was recently discovered in me and I had a suspected flare last year. So I don't know if that's flaring for me or if it's period related.

Diver is where the colon has pockets and they can become trapped with stool and become inflammed and infected. I never got constipated this week so I don't know why this is happening now. I do t know of it's a true flare or something else.

Yes but not so many much as yours. I have slight headache too. I also sweat slightly in the night couple days before periods.

Antares444 · 17/02/2022 21:04

It always raises to 37.2, not more. Headaches, insomnia and night sweating too.

ABitOfAShitShow · 17/02/2022 21:06

I don’t know if my actual temperature rises on a thermometer but I feel hotter, sweat in the night, get a headache and my insomnia worsens in the 3 days prior to my period.

It rises after ovulation but drops just before your period (if you’re not pregnant)

Mine doesn’t rise on a thermometer (I track it for symptothermal method so take every day) but I do always feel hot and sweaty at night before period.

I'm definitely hotter the few days before my period.

Hotter with night sweats and bad insomnia Hmm

Thank you for your thank you for your replies.

My temperature is jumping all around the place since yesterday from 36.8 to 37.9. The highest yesterday was 37.9. So it's not a fever as such but it is a low grade one.

The 36.8 are usually morning readings then it climbs up.

It's currently between 37.4 and 37.7 this afternoon.

I was going to go to the doctor this morning thinking it's a flare but I didn't have a fever over 38 so I didn't bother. I feel ok-ish. A little bit tired.

I don't know if this is period related or the gut issues or stress and anxiety.

I will monitor myself over the weekend and I will ring the GP on Monday if I need to.
