I'm getting a bit worried about this tummy pain

For almost 3/4 weeks now I ahve had this really sore tummy. it feels like it is really full - like I've eaten a lot, and sometimes I feel as though I need to empty my bowels all the time (TMI I Know, sorry). It is really low down in my tummy, but today it is also all down my right side, and again I've got that terrible full feeling. I ahve had 2 days where I ahve eaten properly, and some days I just feel so awful that I ahrdly eat. I also was getting really bad acid reflux last week, but that has eased.
Don't know if it's connected but also been getting tension/migraine type headaches, with aruas and blindspots and the full works

Get ye to the docs - too many symptoms to ignore.

Maidamess · 02/01/2008 09:36

You havent got a grumbling appendix have you? Stomach pain that moves to the right side can be a sign of that. Or an ulcer?

WingsofanAngel · 02/01/2008 09:43

Best thing is to go to your gp asap. Anything different in your bowel movements for a long period of time needs further investigation.

tulip27 · 02/01/2008 09:46

You havnt been near anyone with slapped cheeck have you? check symptoms on google. Could also be appendix or ? ectopic pregnancy?.

SaltiresayingSlainteMhath · 02/01/2008 10:15

Haven't been near anyone with slapped cheek. I've got an appointment at 11.30. I am feeling really hot and dizzy now! Hope it's jut a bug, but think it's gone on too long for it to be that

good luck hope it is just a bug x

i lay my money on gallstones, it can make you feel really shitty, especially if the gall bladder becomes inflammed and infected - hope you feel better soon.

jalopy · 02/01/2008 12:02

Perhaps you have a touch of gastritis in addition to acid reflux. Sounds like you're a bit stressed. Migraines can't be helping either. Good idea to get checked by GP.

WingsofanAngel · 02/01/2008 12:59

How did you get on with the doctors appointment ?

saltire · 03/01/2008 08:08

Well she "doesn't know what it is as my symptoms aren't really specific". This from teh GP who told me the best way to treat my Fibromyalgia would be for my mum to move down here to live with us!
She wants blood tests, but the nurse can't fit me in until the 31st January. I feel terrible again, lay on the sofa last ngiht with a hot water bottle and ended up going off to bed at 10pm

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/01/2008 08:13

31st of Jan???? That is totally unacceptable. Ask you GP to arrange for your blood to be taken at the local hospital if the practice really can't fit you in before then.

I really hope you feel better soon xx

jujuthejetmum · 03/01/2008 08:22

I agree you should have another option of going to the hospital and having blood test taken straight away. Just need the slip from a doctor. If this GP isn't helping ask to see another doctor. Hope you feel better soon

Rolacola · 03/01/2008 08:31

Ask to see another Dr. You can't wait that long!!!

WingsofanAngel · 03/01/2008 11:04

If possible see another doctor. There is no way you should have to wait that long just to have blood taken and then there is how long it takes to get the results.
Are you in the UK if so try ringing NHS direct and see what they suggest.

smartiejake · 03/01/2008 11:10

31st Jan!!!! How utterly ridiculous.!
Surely your local hospital has a blood test department where you could get it done sooner?

HereComeTheGirls · 03/01/2008 11:29

GPs can do blood tests too!
