Gallbladder

Hello
I've had gallstones for 2 years now, never any major issues but past year, I've had a few low level attacks which consists of mild pain under rib which lasts a few seconds and stomach rumblings/gas. I also get upper right shoulder pain if I eat too much/fatty foods. That's about it. Surgeon said he can put me on waiting list but it's roughly 24 months and he said my case is such much milder than others, so it will be a long wait. There's lots on mumsnet about people who have their GB removed but I'd love to hear from those who are living with their gallstones and how long have you had them for. Thank you!

Me! Similar issues. I'm now on the waiting list for removal but the wait where I am is 24 months. Apparently my GB is inflammed too, but surgeon said so many people are on list, including those who have 2/3 attacks a week! I haven't had any of those yet, so he was trying to saying I'm not getting bumped up!
