Please help, worried about FIL

Hope someone can help please.

My FIL (69) has been experiencing a cough for the last few weeks, also headaches and nausea. He's recently had a blood test which showed high lymphocytes and has been asked to get another blood test in a few weeks and he has also been referred for a chest x-ray which he had Friday.

He's a non-smoker, non-drinker. Fit and active and eats a good diet. He is a poor sleeper though, always has been.
Does anyone know what it could be, my DH is so worried about him dad. Thanks

Honestly, there are so many possibilities, even that of it being absolutely nothing, that anyone making suggestions will be stabbing in the dark and none of it will help you.

Surely that's the case for everyone posting on the health board, we are all just after a bit of reassurance, no? I wasn't asking for a diagnosis for him. I'm aware that his symptoms could be caused by a number of things.
