Tooth or sinus

I have a super painful throbbing pain above my upper left molar. Very painful especially when pressed - can't eat on it or anything. Been a problem since Saturday night.

But but but pain is all the way up to my cheek. My other teeth are a bit sore too and the tooth with the pain in is in fact a crown where there was a root canal over 12 years ago and hasn't ever caused issues since. I saw the dentist about 2 months ago for a check up, had X-ray and all fine.

The additional issue here is that I have Covid. I've been fairly poorly and have had a lot of sinus pain, have a runny nose and ear ache. I am quite prone to sinus issues.

Obviously I will struggle to get a dentist to see me at the moment being positive etc but wonder if it's worth me calling to see what they think.

Just strikes me as a bit weird I've had no problems then Covid then pain. Do I just try and manage for a day or two more with ibuprofen and see if it is a Covid thing

I have had a nasty sinus infection diagnosed by the dentist, visited for toothache, so I sympathise with your confusion about what to do.

Does your GP reply to email? If so that is how I would start. I hope you get some relief soon

Ah thank you - I spoke to drs who have given me anti biotics. It's really not clear what the source is but it's incredibly painful.

A quick google tells me the type and dose I've been prescribed covers both sinus and tooth infection so hopefully will nip it in the bud quickly.
