Does this sound gallbladder related?

Hello. Three times the last 2 weeks (tonight being number 3) I’ve had upper abdominal pain which radiates into the middle of my back. It’s not agony but really uncomfortable and I feel bloated. It’s only happening at night. Paracetamol and a hot water bottle helps and it’s not so painful I can’t sleep.

I just don’t know whether it’s really worth seeing a dr at this stage? I know fatty foods can cause this if it is gallbladder related but I’m eating a fairly low fat diet as it is and getting lots of exercise.

Just not sure what to do! The first time this happened it was definitely the worst. Anyone got any thoughts or advice?

Sounds like gallbladder to me.
Remember a damaged gallbladder can "just" have sludge not stones, and can be low functioning with no stones at all. They don't get better, once you've got a gallbladder that's conking out for whatever reason, it's not going to miraculously return to 100% functionality. You can manage with diet up to a certain point.
I have stones and sludge and will have mine removed at some point. I've had maybe 3-4 full blown attacks in the last two years- my attacks feel like a heart attack on the right, a seering band of pain that goes around my chest into my back and shoulder and up into my jaw.

@Roominmyhouse how did you get on with the GP?

@PAFMO I'm in a similar boat. When will you get yours removed? Is there a long wait list for you?
