Hi, has anyone got any experience of persistent hiccups. My uncle has mild ld and is deaf. He probably drinks too much alcohol. In November he had hiccups for a number of week, my dm and I are carers. We phoned 111, eho advised gp. Gp done blood test and px omerprazol, they seemed to stop. Last week they have started again, back to gp who say they'll probably stop and it may be psychological. He also feels sick and its affecting his life. I feel there must be something more to this and feel a gastro referral asap is needed. Has anyone had any experiance with this?
