Jaw pain

I have got this really annoying pain in my jaw. High up where the joint is. And it's also making my ear quite sore. As in if I touch the ear canal it is painful. I've no dental pain. And it's only on one side. I had it quite a few days ago. But it seemed to settle down. Now it's back. Have taken paracetamol to try and help. Anyone had anything similar?

I have exactly this at the moment. It's my wisdom tooth.
Plays up for a week or so then settles down for a couple of months. Ibuprofen helps

Oh is it? Is that because it's coming through or just playing up? It's so unpleasant this pain. May get some ibuprofen from the shop
