Red big toe

When i woke up this morning the underside of my big toe was hurting. Its a bit red and seems to be getting redder. It looks a bit like a blister on the one side but it isnt a blister. Any idea what it could be?

It does lol like a pressure injury of some kind… is it still getting redder? Did you do lots of walking yesterday? Feel inside your shoes for something poking into the toe space? Can you move your toe joint ok?

No I didn't do much at all yesterday and there's no obvious injury. It does seem to be getting redder... I have no idea what it is!

No, we still have our winter duvet and i was baking last night so no hot water bottles for me :) Honestly, I can't think of anything that has caused it. I did more walking than normal on Monday but its been fine until this morning so i don't think it's that.
