I’ve struggled on and off with insomnia but it’s been full force for a couple of months now. I was prescribed sleeping tablets that completely knock me out but I’m so groggy in the morning I didn’t want to keep taking them.
I’m awake until 5am and then have to get up at 6.30am and am like the walking dead all day. I’ve been back on the tablets for a few weeks as I cant handle lying awake all night.
I went away for two nights and forgot to take the tablets with me and I slept well. I decided this was a good time to stop them and last night fell asleep instantly- for all of 25 mins.
I’ve tried tiring myself out more during the day, warm baths, soothing drinks, everything honks of lavender, herbal remedies, podcasts/apps. Nothing seems to work and I’m slowly losing my mind!
