He wasn't drunk either.

He came over to see the kids for a few hours yesterday and about 4 times whilst he was here he lost control of his tongue.

He said it just goes heavy in his mouth and he cannot speak properly.

I have told him to go to the doctors but he is male so won't.

Just wondered if anyone had any idea what it might be ?

My uncle had a minor stroke/TIA, which affected him in the same way. He went to hospital with it, and had a major stroke while there, so could be treated immediately. He is now able to lead a pretty much normal life. A man in the same ward had his major stroke in M and S, and now can do nothing for himself at all. Perhaps you should tell him that story! He needs blood thinning drugs, maybe even just a baby aspirin once a day, and monitoring, he shouldn't find THAT too scary!
