Sinus rinse

I’ve been recommended a sinus rinse thing after sinusitis. I’ve watched the videos but it just comes straight back out the same nostril?! What’s going on? Any tips?

Head down, with the bad nostril tilted to the side.
And I sort of inhale whilst making a long kaaahhh sound. Slightly snorting the water up.

Have you the teapot thing or the squeezy bottle? Latter much easier.

Use the Neilmed Sinus rinse bottle, perhaps easier for first time user, and follow the instructions, should work properly.

If you can't get away with the sinus rinses, try some salt water nasal spray. There's a few different makes out there now.
