Endometrioma cyst

Anyone had an endometrioma??

At least that’s what the consultant thinks it is. .. they’ve booked me in for an MRI to check. It’s 5x6cm roughly.

Weirdly they have found uterine fibroids but no other signs yet of endometriosis.. which I thought you would have to then develop an endometrioma..? 🤷‍♀️

They said I may need to have it out but they’re not sure.

Any thoughts or similar experiences appreciated. Thanks

I’ve the same, an endometrioma cyst on ovary and one fibroid but no symptoms of endometriosis and they’ve not mentioned seeing any on scans.

I think whether they remove it or not largely depends on how old you are and whether you’ve finished your family or not. Apparently it’s super hard for even a v skilled surgeon to just take the cyst from the ovary and even slight damage to the healthy ovarian tissue can cause it to pack up - they seem to be very sensitive in this regard!
