DS has chest infection - should I keep him away from other small children?

A friend with her 2 week old DS is meant to be visting tomorrow, should I tell her not to come? DS (11mths) is coughing for Britain (is on ABs and ventolin) and is probably spreading germs everywhere. Would hate to be responsible for a newborn with a chest infection!

I don't think it is necessary . AB's will tackle the infection and it is most probably localised so not contagious but there may have been a viral cause which is. However would certainly give her the option to cancel.

Thanks. I told friend and she decided not to come - can't blame her, think I'd have been cautious too when DS was newborn.
