DD's sickness - it seems a bit bizarre to me

DD (nearly 3) was sick twice during the night on Christmas eve and we put it down to the fact that we had had a party that day/evening during which she got very excited playing with the other children and probably ate more rubbishy food in one day that she normally does in about 6 months.
Christmas day she was very docile, laying ont eh sofa, didn't want anything to eat etc, slept during the afternoon and only perked up a tad when grandma and grandad came over in the evening. She even had a little supper once Grandma was sitting next to her but she was obviosly not her usual self.
Christmas night she was fine.
Today, she has eaten pretty much as normal and has been in good spirits (trip to the park, playing with new toys etc etc).

However, she has just been sick again. (11pm Boxing day night)
If it was a bug, she would have been sick yesterday too wouldn't she?
She certainly hasn't eaten anything today that was very rich or fatty etc.

Any ideas please?

TIA

I think it's going about, i have been feeling unwell since yesterday, i have been very tired, & feeling really sick on & off, i have not actually been sick yet, also been clamy but it has totally taken it out of me.

I hope your dd feels better soon.

she's got a bug

mckenzie · 27/12/2007 00:28

she's just been sick again bless her. The poor old washing machine is taking a right bashing. Thank goodness so far it's all been contained on her bed. If it's a bug then there is nothing I can do but let it run its course I suppose?

lots of fluids and lots of rest. clpol if she's got a temp and can keep it down, otherwise cool baths and not much on to cool temp.

hope she feels better v soon and no one else catches it. x

we have got a bug. DD was sick xmas eve and not xmas day but was yesterday. Some of it was with coughing, other was just her being sick. No temp, but me and dh have same thing with temp. Wud say it is something viral going around!!!

uuugh we have this too. am so fed up of it. dd only recovered from last bout of vomiting about 2 weeks ago. tis rubbish you have my sympathies

mckenzie · 27/12/2007 22:17

sorry to hear you are suffering too emandjules and belcantavinissima.

DD perked up again this afternoon/evening which means she ate some food so does that mean we're going to have another night of sickness again? Or will this be the night in between where she's fine? Fingers crossed for the latter

did you have an ok night mckenzie? is dd better now? my dd is fine now (i think) but both dss have the flu and dh still has bad flu too. its rubbish.

mckenzie · 30/12/2007 14:49

hi Belcant...

DD wasn't sick any more but she's been really not herself. Very clingy, miserable and not her usual self at all. She's had two early nights now but is still miserable so i don't think it can be tiredness and I'm assuming she's still not quite right.
How are things in the Belcant household?
