Sinus Issues

I regularly have problems with my sinuses (and ENT in general). Over the last few months I have noticed an occasional "visual disturbance" followed by sinus pain. I have seen the optician and the specialist eye clinic and they see nothing wrong. When I suggested it might be related to my sinuses they pooh-poohed me but I have spoken to people who have migraines about the "halo effect" and I wonder if its something similar. Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced similar.

Yes, me. Had vision problems and got referred to the eye clinic by my optician. They linked it back to my long term sinus problems. I still get a lot of eye pressure and pain with some vision disturbance bit at least I know the cause now. They are connected. Hope you get sorted and I sympathise with the pain, I've had two sinus operations but it's a daily issue for me.

Thank you so much. I was wondering if I should push back with my GP / eye specialist but I felt like a bit of a drama queen. Every time it happens I worry that I am going to lose my sight. Definitely going back to my GP to ask them to look more closely at my sinus problem. God, I love Mumsnet.

My sinuses are awful atm. Constant pain and sleeplessness. Can I ask you what operations you had and did they work?

Yes, I had a flush of my sinuses, worked for about three months. Then I had all my Nasal polyps removed as they were affecting my breathing followed by another flush. Only worked for about three months again! It was amazing to be able to clearly breathe, taste, smell and not have a dripping nose all the time!
