Endometrial Cancer

Hi all,
DM (76) has been diagnosed with early stage endometrial cancer. Symptoms started back in October (sudden urine incontinence followed by bleeding). She was referred with 2 week rule, and diagnosed mid December. She needs a hysterectomy, and we are waiting for an appointment to see the MDT team about her treatment plan.

Wanted advice from you lovely ladies about whether in your experiences it is possible to go private at this stage for the op and then switch back to NHS for the follow up as her Macmillan nurse / team are great.
We’re worried about the possible delay in treatment because of Covid and staffing shortages within the NHS.
Any advice / experiences would be most welcomed .
