I think I have acid reflux. I feel bloated, and full in the chest and can feel it in my throat. Burping more. Ronnie's and gaviscon do not help. I am now not eating much, though that doesn't seen to help.

What have others tried that worked ? Thanks

Omeprazole works for me.

Hello, I take medication but I also have to be very careful what I eat. Avoid tea and coffee, spicy food, citrus and red fruits tomatoes and onions. Don't lie down for 2 hours after eating and eat more small meals as opposed to big ones. Eating less may not help because if my tummy is empty it makes it 10 times worse. At its worst, before medication, I survived on breadsticks and crisps. Try to find what works for you.

If you speak to your GP (it can be done over phone) they can prescribe omeprazole or lansoprazole. If gaviscon isn't helping you likely will need a prescription medicine.

Thanks..I will look into omeprazole and changing a few things to find what helps and what doesn't

Strangely Pinterest is good with indigestion and heartburn safe meals, you might find some ideas on there

I am slowly getting mine under control with omeprazole and some diet changes. Keep a food diary to find your triggers. One that I learned about last week is E282 or Calcium Propionate. It's a preservative found in most breads, some other baked goods and some dairy. It's known for causing acid reflux. Also look out for hidden acids in processed foods, lactic is a common one. You'd be amazed what they put in to foods. Cutting these out over the last four days has made a huge difference to me along with all the usual suspects - coffee, raw tomato, raw onions of all varieties, cucumber skin, raw peppers and on some days deep fried foods don't settle. I seem to be fine with a little bit of chilli spice and alcohol, but they've never given me heartburn previously either.

Sometimes I feel heartburn feeling due to acid reflux, so during that time I eat small piece of raw ginger. This will helps to overcome this issue. So if you feel heartburn so try this method, Otherwise seek doctor advice.

Bloating and poor appetite can also be the symptoms of more serious conditions so I would see your GP.
Reflux is my ch more likely to present with burning pain initially and can be either alleviated or become worse with eating. It often feels like severe hunger pangs with a burning sensation. Pain tends to radiate to shoulders.

I also facing these two symptoms in the early stage. But I take proper treatment in the right time.
