8mths DD has had diarrhoea for 5 days

My 8 month old DD has had diarrhoea for 5 days with no other symptoms except a sore bum, am not sure whether to be worried or not. Would take her to docs if it wasn't Xmas Eve, it doesn't feel like an emergency but it has been going on for a while! Have been giving her bland, starchy food and yoghurt as well as increased b/feeds to ensure she doesn't get dehydrated, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Any advice?

I'd stop giving her yoghurt (any dairy, for that matter) and ensure she's drinks loads.

Diarrhoea can last a while in little one's , i remember dd2 having it for 2 weeks at that age, as long as she is drinking i would'nt worry, i think i was told by the doctor that dairy is'nt good for stomach bugs as it feeds the bug and can cause intolerance of dairy. I would just give her breast milk for 24 hours. Hopefully someone will be along who knows more
