Just wondering if anyone has had this.. before I explain I will say I do have dermatitis on my scalp/behind ears Etc that I treat with a steroid shampoo but this seems different
For the last few months now I have a very very itchy skin on my neck.. it becomes very red and hot and the itching is intense it keeps me up at night at it’s worst. It’s now moving to my neckline and it itches worse when it is wet after a shower or if I’m wearing clothes with a collar or clothes that touch it
I will also add this started when I started using epiduo for acne the high strength one not the usual one.. however it doesn’t cause me a reaction on my face and I don’t even put it on my neck. I really don’t want to stop using this as it has helped a lot with my acne.
I have been the to the doctors.. one said excema and gave me a steriod cream this actually makes it worse and makes it itch more. the kinda itch is different to the dermatitis I know I have.. my neck kinda feels like prickly heat. I went back to docs this one said contact dermatitis or an allergic reaction to the epiduo but kinda admitted she doesn’t actually know what it is. She said way they redness sharply cuts off at the sides it looks like a reaction rather than excema.
Hydrocortisone doesn’t work.. anti histamines seem to calm it for a bit. It’s also worse at night
Does anyone know what this can be?
