What is this lump inside my nose?

Few days ago I brushed the end of my nose with my hand and it felt very mildly sensitive - I couldn’t see anything but assumed I just had a spot coming up under the skin on the end of my nose.

I’ve now noticed a fleshy lump, just on the upper inside of my nostril. I can see it if I pull my nostril. It feels fleshy, doesn’t hurt, is red and has no obvious head so I don’t think it’s a spot. It possibly looks like it might have fluid in it.

What could it be and should I be concerned? I’m a bit of a worrier so any reassurance would be welcomed

Still got this - no worse, no better. Spoke with dr who told me to try antibiotic cream but to go and see him in a few days if it’s not cleared. Keep googling and all I come up with is polyps - but it’s not that because Dr Google says these normally hang down from the nose like grapes

I’m sorry to be silly but I’m having a bit of a health anxiety attack about it. The antibiotic cream hasn’t made any difference so far so I’m seeing the dr in the week.

I keep googling and nothing online matches what I have - not a polyp as it’s not hanging down or blocking my nostril, not vestibulitis or any kind of boil/spot as there’s been no scab/pus/oozing/crusting of any kind. Just a completely painless fleshy lump. Any more suggestions would be welcome to help calm me down till the dr sees it…

Did you ever find out what it is? I have almost the identical thing in my nose. I'm going to see an ENT Monday it's making me very nervous

Hi @H0llymarie33 - when I finally saw the dr, he wasn’t bothered at all. Said it didn’t look sinister or anything and that if I squeezed it, something would probably come out but NOT to do that. I disagree with him, it doesn’t feel like something I can squeeze - just a fleshy lump. It’s still there! It’s no bigger but every now and then I remember is there and I do feel a bit weird about it…
How did you get on at ENT?

The ENT said it could be a nasal polyp. papilloma, or some kind of benign tumor. I also seen a dermatologist 2 minths ago he's the one who thought ot was a cyst and referred me to an ENT. Anyways the ENT referred me to the Otolaryngologist facial plastic surgeon so he can remove it and get a biopsy. He want the plastic surgeon to remove it due to the location. I see him may 9th for the consult.

Did you have any other symptoms with yours? How did you notice it? Must admit I do feel a bit concerned now that you say you’re having a biopsy….

I've had similar lump for more than ten years.

…although having said that, mine doesn’t look like my original picture anymore. The “fleshiness” I can feel is out of sight. It’s kind of right in the front top of my nostril, next to the septum.

I think it just itched a lot and I thought it was a spot and kept squeezing but it never got a head

Yes, mine isn’t itchy and I’ve never squeezed it as I couldn’t see anything to squeeze! Did you ever get it looked at?

I’ve one of these too! I’ve had it… a few years? Just a hard fleshy lump inside my nose where yours all are.

Ok, this is reassuring me a bit, that others have the same thing and their noses haven’t fallen off or anything…

I have this exact same thing to!! I’ve had it I think for a year or maybe more now. Same as all of the pictures. I’m interested @H0llymarie33 How did the biopsy go? Has anyone else in this forum that has it got it cleared?

Did any of you find out what the lump was? Similar lump on my nose

Mine turned out to be nothing…still there, no bigger, no smaller. It’s not causing me any bother so I’ve stopped worrying about it.
