Chest infection woes - when will it end??

I've had two chest infections in the last month, which have come totally out of the blue as I'm normally a fit and healthy person, and don't have asthma or any underlying conditions. The first time around I was struggling to breathe and coughing up green mucus, so the doctor gave me antibiotics. Then just as I was beginning to feel better, I caught a cold of some sort, which gave me tonsillitis. A few days in, I started coughing up green mucus again. The doctor gave me more antibiotics and the green-ness seems to be lessening, but I feel totally terrible and ache badly from waist to collarbone on both sides (I guess from the coughing).

I'm two days into the antibiotics now, and a month into being ill generally. Does anyone know how long this might last? It's definitely not covid as I've tested both times.

Sorry I don't have the answer but I can sympathise!
Start of December DS brought a cold home from school. I then got it, I thought I was fighting it but it turned into sinusitis requiring antibiotics. I wasn't feeling good at all and despite the antibiotics had 4 days of fever then fever on and off along with coughing up green phlegm and face pain. I phoned doc and they extended my antibiotics by a few more days.
Fast forward to today, one month on and I'm still coughing especially in the the evening, at least it's a dry cough I suppose. I feel like I have a cold, all sniffly, blocked and still have twinges of pain in my face. I'm feeling 70% better overall, just hope my body can get rid of the last of it and I don't relapse into another infection.
I think I have been hit hard by the winter bug going around. I normally don't get so ill and normally recover better than this.
I'm thinking maybe the lack of socialising and lack of travelling on public transport has decreased my immunity!

Thank you! Yes, I don't normally get this ill either and now I'm a bit worried that every bug is going to knock me this hard. Hopefully this is just a rogue bad one though.

I've managed to eat a bit of breakfast this morning and am beginning to feel more human, so hopefully it's on its way out.
