Chest infection woes - when will it end??

I've had two chest infections in the last month, which have come totally out of the blue as I'm normally a fit and healthy person, and don't have asthma or any underlying conditions. The first time around I was struggling to breathe and coughing up green mucus, so the doctor gave me antibiotics. Then just as I was beginning to feel better, I caught a cold of some sort, which gave me tonsillitis. A few days in, I started coughing up green mucus again. The doctor gave me more antibiotics and the green-ness seems to be lessening, but I feel totally terrible and ache badly from waist to collarbone on both sides (I guess from the coughing).

I'm two days into the antibiotics now, and a month into being ill generally. Does anyone know how long this might last? It's definitely not covid as I've tested both times.

Sorry I don't have the answer but I can sympathise!
Start of December DS brought a cold home from school. I then got it, I thought I was fighting it but it turned into sinusitis requiring antibiotics. I wasn't feeling good at all and despite the antibiotics had 4 days of fever then fever on and off along with coughing up green phlegm and face pain. I phoned doc and they extended my antibiotics by a few more days.
Fast forward to today, one month on and I'm still coughing especially in the the evening, at least it's a dry cough I suppose. I feel like I have a cold, all sniffly, blocked and still have twinges of pain in my face. I'm feeling 70% better overall, just hope my body can get rid of the last of it and I don't relapse into another infection.
I think I have been hit hard by the winter bug going around. I normally don't get so ill and normally recover better than this.
I'm thinking maybe the lack of socialising and lack of travelling on public transport has decreased my immunity!
I hope you feel better soon Thanks

Thank you! Yes, I don't normally get this ill either and now I'm a bit worried that every bug is going to knock me this hard. Hopefully this is just a rogue bad one though.

I've managed to eat a bit of breakfast this morning and am beginning to feel more human, so hopefully it's on its way out.
