Periods returning after pregnancy with one week between bleeds- wtf?

My first period after pregnancy lasted nine days, then a week later I had another one lasting two days. A week later again I'm having another one. What the hells going on? Is this normal?

ummm, i'll keep posting (you do it too) just to bump. well done with the 5 months bf!

i'm afraid i have absolutely no idea. I bf all my three and then had no AF for yonks, they delightfully returned the week after i went back to work each time, oh what perfect timing. not. i remember them being longer and heavier than normal tho, and a bit irregular for a few months. presumably whilst the hormones try to get back to some sort of organisation.
hopefully one of our knowledgeable mners will be along soon.
if concerned, would it be worth a chat with the gp?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 23/12/2007 00:52

Not concerned yet, it's more inconvenient than anything, plus I seem to get mini bouts of pmt imbetween and start rather irrational and tearful rows with my dp.

Will bump in the morning, thanks for answering me!

irrational and tearful rows with DP/H - i know that one!!v think they are part of the territory mate, welcome
but seriously, sounds like the old hormones are well and truly fkd. hopefull it will all settle in the next few weeks. Defo go bump tomorrow.
nighty night for now
