Woke up with excruciating pain in my left shoulder blade yesterday. Couldn't really lift/move either arm due to pain. Turning my neck was painful. Took ibuprofen and applied ice which helped. Slept away most of the day in the one position that was comfortable.
Today I woke up and it's a lot better but I'm paranoid as I read that left shoulder pain in women can be an indicator of a heart attack.
Was short of breath yesterday but that was just the anxiety from the pain I'm sure. No shortness today.
The pain is still there today but it is so much better than yesterday. Yesterday I was crying with the pain today I am managing to work on my laptop.
I'm thinking no need to call the Gp as if it's eased so much so quickly it must've been the way I had been sleeping that caused it. I have had neck and upper back pain before due to sleeping badly. Anyone else experienced this?
