Hi,
Very briefly, I am 50 and post menopausal.
On HRT and keep bleeding.
Had womb scan and hysteroscopy last April, nothing sinister found.

Now waiting for second scan and an appointment is taking ages!
I am tempted to go private as I am in such a fix hormonally. I came off my HRT recently, due to the bleeding and have plummeted to the depths of despair AND bleeding again!

Does anyone have any experience of either fibroids, cysts, endo etc appearing within a few months? Something must be causing these bleeds and I don't know what?? I also get cramps like period pains too.

I have to take some form of HRT, else I cannot function.

Thanks.

Sounds like you need to change your hrt. I was on Kliovance for years then started bleeding in the summer. Now on oestragel and provera no bleeding.
Maybe a mirena iud would be a solution.

What type of HRT are you taking?

Runaround50 · 04/01/2022 17:21

Thanks.
I am on the evorel 75 patch and utrogestan nightly.
Is Provera a progesterone?

I don’t get on top well with the gel and feel the patch gives symptom relief, but for the bleeding.
I guess I will have to find an alternative somehow.

When you say you are bleeding do you mean you are having regular periods or just bleeding ?

I'm 50 on HRT and still have regular periods, much to my disgust 😤

Well MrMrs, I thought just bleeding,
However, each bleed has been accompanied with pmt and cramps.
Maybe in not post menopausal then?
Last natural period was 2018.
Then 2.5 years of nothing, I thought I was post menopause.
Maybe I’m not??
Are a sequential HRT regime ?

Meant, are you on a sequential HRT regime?

Have you had Covid jabs? My periods were hellish after mine despite them being light and pain free previously . I am 50.
Sorry no idea about menopause etc. Need to get informed ASAP I guess.

I'm on Evorel Sequi patches
