Thrush... canesten pessary

Hi all... I have name changed for this.

I am hoping someone can help me. I have thrush, I know it's thrush as I've had it many times. I've just finished a course of antibiotics so I think that's what's caused it.

I bought the Canesten gel pessary last night and used it along with the external cream, this is what I would normally use and it would clear it up by the following day. However, unfortunately for me, it hasn't worked.

I have ordered the Canesten tablet pessary and have also ordered 3x fluconazole from an online chemist.

My questions are: Can I use the tablet pessary asap or do I need to wait a certain length of time before I can use it? Same question but with the fluconazole? Also, in your experience if you've experienced thrush, what worked best? How long once using the pessary can I expect for it to clear up if it hasn't within 24 hours?

I'm really struggling with it, it itches and burns and I just want it goneSad gutted the gel pessary didn't work the way it normally does.

Use tablet straight away, extreme cases of thrush can take multiple courses of treatment to rebalance things. I have had thrush that's required 3 lots of pessary tablets. I have then them one after another 3 days in a row and then they cleared up.
