Mole Removal

Just wondering if anyone has advice on if doctors will remove moles even though they are not suspicious?

I have a number on my back, one on my chest and one on my neck. I remember my mum taking me to doctors when I was small and they agreed to remove the ones on my back before I grew and started wearing bra's but when the appointment came it was on my sisters birthday so my mum wouldn't take me.

Would they do it now? As I said, they are not suspicious, just get in the way of my bra, the one on my neck gets pulled on at work (small children), and the ones on my back prevent me from washing/drying effectively as I don't want to catch them.

Obviously, I wasn't thinking of going to doctors any time soon, I would wait until the NHS is a little less busy with everything connected to covid.

Get them removed privately (you pay) -- you want them off for cosmetic not health reasons.

If you get the GP to look at them then they'll let you know if you can get them removed on the NHS or if you need to go private. If they cause you problems day to day then it may be that they'll do them on the NHS for you.

I've had two moles removed that weren't suspicious but caused issues, one on my back which lay at my bra strap clip and one on my underarm which got caught when shaving, this was over 20 years ago though so criteria may have changed - can't hurt to ask your GP though.

I had two moles removed on my face recently but had to go private. About 15 years ago I had 3 done on the NHS.

My experience is same as others. I have lots of moles and have had a few troublesome ones removed in the past by NHS but it has become much harder to do. I have gone private in more recent years. If you do go private it makes sense to get more than one done at the same time. I am really pleased that I have had moles removed on my face. Good results.

Thank you for your advice and sharing your experiences.
I wouldnt know where to start when thinking about going private but I will look into it rather than going to my GP. Thank you everyone.
