mini pill and anti biotics

does anti biotics affect the mini-pill???? Have been given AB's for the onset of ear infection and just want to make sure that we dont hear the pitter patter of little wurly feet in 9 months.

It defo effects the other pill as my doc and the pharmacist told me so today when I collected my prescrition for AB's.
Not sure about the mini pill though sorry.

I have always assumed that it does and acted accordingly It is a pain though - the mini pill is slightly less effective than the combined one anyway - certainly I have found my fertility has returned straight away when I wanted it to - I've always counted the two weeks you are supposed to 'be careful' from the day after I took the last ab as well. I'm nothing if not cautious
