HAS ANYONE TAKEN OR TAKING METHOTREXATE?

In brief - I have been advised to take the above drug - has anyone taken it or had any experience with it, I have been prescribed a low dose but have heard some nasty side effects just wondered if anyone wanted to shed a bit more light on it as have not got a clue about it!

twiglett's DH takes it - she had a thread this week about him taking pain-killers with it and whether they shouldn't be combined - here (she's called Magrat atm)
