Thyroid cancer

I've been told I have thyroid cancer. Has anyone had any experience of this? I'm not sure what type yet, have an appointment on Jan 7th. I had half my thyroid removed in November and now I'll get the other half out, I think.

I had follicular thyroid cancer 5 years ago with complete Thyroidectomy and rai treatment. Still have check ups every 6 months .It was all scary at the time and it took a while to get my medication sorted but all ok now.
There is lots of great support on Facebook groups and the butterfly cancer group is brilliant .Happy to answer any questions xx
