I am living in Chadderton, my husband was diagnosed coronary artery disease, can we request to do the bypass surgery in University Hospital of South Manchester ?

What can we do If we want the surgery to be done in University Hospital ?

Well you supposedly get a choice in theory but if I were you I’d keep my options open and take the soonest date. 2-3 years isn’t unusual now for an initial non-emergency appointment.

You can choose, but unless you have significant grounds for concern at other hospitals, you're best to take whichever has the shortest waiting list.

Yes you can ask the cardiologist to refer you to a different unit for surgery.

Uni Hospital of.S. Manchester survival rate for bypass surgery is top 5 in UK, and less re-open rate.
