ds 5 had v bug last week hes ok but today he had blood in is poo[tmi]

bit worried once more ds as had the v bug last week as you know todays hes had a poo its very pale but with blood in it sorry if if its [tmi] is it still from the bug? do i wait to see if any more in it next time he goes? or phone gp in morning? hes not ill any more !

I would go to the gp he might just have a small tear (nothing to worry about) from straining

but I think I would check as its the holidays gps can be hard to get hold off

If it's red then it is almost definitely down to a small tear on the perineum (sp). He has probably got slightly constipated from not eating much during his illness, and now his poo may be slightly hard. This will have caused a small tear on the way out. As his eating retunrs to normal it will heal up. Go to the docs if it doesn't or the blood is brown.

By the way this came from my mum who is a paediatrician, not from me!! My ds had the same thing a few years ago and it freaked me out.
