Hydrogen peroxide for tonsillitis?

Hello

I have seen a few sufferers write about this when they have become resistant to antibiotics. Does this actually work?

I have had ongoing tonsillitis for 3 weeks. Antibiotics they tried have not worked. I have seen 2 doctors over the past 3 days who have both told me to just wait it out if I can.

I have white spots on both tonsils and one is inflamed and throat is very sore. They don’t seem concerned. I mentioned to the out of hours GP this morning that I have been using hydrogen peroxide which he wasn’t phased about it. He said give it another week and come back if no improvement and he will get me an appointment with ENT.

I am just wondering how long does it usually take for this to work if so? My throat is killing me it’s driving me insane how long this has gone on for !

I have become a serial poster on here throughout the week !

Thanks

Have you tried gargling mouthwash (the serious kind with alcohol and anti-bacterial)? I found that provided some relief.
