managed to convince myself it is a blood clot or trapped nerve. Have tried massage - hot bath - activity - rest any thoughts?

any other symptoms?

would call NHS Direct if you are at all worried or have a history of DVT etc

Oh if it makes any difference I got leg trapped in DS2's rocking horse and fell over at the beginning of the week and have 3 giant bruises coming up on different parts of the same leg

it is very unlikely to be a blood clot - sounds like you have trapped something when you fell. Can you get to an osteopath? that would help.

you have probably just given it a good bash in that case

i am ultra paranoid about lower leg pain but only because i have had DVT

i would elevate the leg as much as possible, and take some anti-inflammatories

if there is no change in another day or two i would check it out especially as you don't want to be hobbling around over Xmas

Someone in my family - possibly my SIL because I think it was caused by kneeling on the floor making cards?? - had this and it went on for days and days. I was getting anxious on her behalf.

Anyway, it passed and was nothing.

Hope it goes soon.

Thanks all - will stop panicing.
