MIL is emetophobic and will not come on xmas day if there is any sniff of vomit and dh and his family, having been brought up with a vomit phobe will all insist that all four of us stay away from the panto we have got tickets for on saturday (which they are also going to)in case we are incubating it!
My mum (very ill with horrid rare immune disease thingy) father and granny ( also very frail) are also supposed to spend xmas day with us.
question is- have we got time to all get it and have it over with before xmas?

yes it was a one off! You will all be fine.

LoveMyGirls · 19/12/2007 22:37

Should be fine by sat

smartiejake · 19/12/2007 22:39

I hope so! She has had a stomach ache all day and I was beginning to think she might have appendicitis but she is rather a sicky child. SHe had a similar thing a few weeks ago and none of us got it. (But there again has been something going round...)

At the risk of being crass, was it spectacular and was it watery ?

smartiejake · 19/12/2007 22:42

I know she will be fine but what if we all go down with it one at a time (sorry- feeling of panic rising... deep breaths, calm, calm!)- living with dh who is a slight emetophobe for last few years bound to rub off!

Oh very spectacular! Thank goodness we have hard floors and a leather suite! Took two buckets full of detol to clear it up!

And yes very watery but she had had quite a large drink of ginger ale (supposed to be good for tummy ache) and not eaten much today.

It is a 24 hour thing.

DS was at a party with 10 other boys on Saturday, some of them succumbed on the day/ apres the party.

DS has a stomach of steel, he puked spectacularly last night.

He was child 9 to hit the decks....

He insisted on going to school, then stood in the playground looking like 4 pints of milk.

I took him straight home.

By 3.00 p.m he was well enough to finish his cards for his friends in class.

By 7.00 he was giving me back chat.

It will be fine, open all the windows tomorrow for at least an hour. It will kill any malingering bugs. IMO

Thanks- feel a bit better now. Man is here fitting new boiler at mo and so will be very cold in the house tomorrow- windows open for a few hours won't make any difference!

You have someone fitting a boiler this late ??

smartiejake · 19/12/2007 23:22

No! He's doing it over three days as we needed new gas pipe and extra radiators etc. Final day tomorrow where he does something known as a powerflush. (Sounds painful)and told us the house would be extra cold tomorrow so we will all be snuggled up in our thermal underwear with a hot water bottle!
