I caught a cold in October, then sinusitis that lasted weeks, I’m now better but one of my tonsils is still enlarged and sore and has been for weeks. Dr says prolonged virus-anyone else had this for so long?

Yes, I had this a couple of years ago (just as the pandemic began). Sore throat from just before Christmas to end of March. I was really worried, and had numerous trips to the GP and had an ENT appointment with camera up the nose, as well as a head MRI. Nothing was found, and it got better on its own eventually. It really worried me, but has been fine ever since and was very thoroughly investigated. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi me too also since October
Don’t have tonsils but sore throat and sore tongue ongoing
Dentist and doctor not overly concerned
Possible vitamin deficiency.
Booked in for a blood test next week

I’ve been really worried but I do suffer with health anxiety so that’s not helping 🙄

Thanks, I must admit that dodgy stuff had crossed my mind but it really does just feel like a prolonged sore throat 🤷‍♀️ I will go back to the doctor of it doesn’t resolve in the new year
