Looking for some advice please, rather than wasting GP/surgery time.
DH had a private CT scan on his knee recently.
This was requested by an Osteopath, who he went to see after 2 x GP appointments and 2 x NHS physio appointments (by phone) where he was prescribed analgesia and emailed an exercise sheet.
Osteopath has discussed results with him and advised nothing more he can do, so go back to GP to see if Orthopaedic surgical referral is required.
My question is, rather than taking up a GP appointment unnecessarily, would it be acceptable for him to phone the surgery to ask, if he dropped a copy of the report at the surgery, would one of the Doc's read it when they have time, and then advise if onward referral is appropriate?
Or are they likely to say "bugger off! Book an appointment like everyone else".?

Perfectly acceptable.

Does depend on the GP though. Some would be happy to read the report and do a referral & just send him a text confirming they’ve done this, others may want to have a discussion with him.
