Just want a quick opinion. Had this rash patch develop under my breast a week or so ago which I put down to a deep heat aerosol burn (I've been using it for rib flare/costochondritis).

Having had a good look today in the light I think it might actually be ringworm though?

How do you even get ringworm and how do you get it there?? Will consult Gp but just curious as to what people here might think. Stuck some Germolene on it in the meantime.

Its not just where your bra is rubbing is it?

Tomthumbsbigbum · 09/12/2021 19:10

It could be ringworm but it could also be the start of a skin condition called granuloma annulare. I suffer from it. It's often mistaken for ringworm and can only be diagnosed by biopsy. It's not contagious, rarely itchy or painful, but does unfortunately spread in most cases.

Ringworm is fungal and that area can be a bit sweaty which makes it an ideal environment. An antifungal cream would help

Yes, I had this in the same place a few years ago. Try canestan or daktarin twice a day for a couple of weeks and see your GP if that doesn't sort it out.

Looks like intertrigo to me

Dontsayyouloveme · 09/12/2021 22:48

Ringworm is itchy. Canesten will get rid of it if it is that!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 09/12/2021 22:50

Try some Canesten as others have said before a GP appt, or see the pharmacist. It's really common.
