Hi

Worried mum here. Can anyone help or advise please. Me and my daughter had strep throat a few months ago. She is only 1 and it left her very ill and was hospitalised with it. The past few days I have noticed my throat is sore. I can see some small faint cream spots on them. The doctor could not fit me in today so I saw a pharmacist who had a check over the counter- not a proper one just a look as I opened my mouth. Said my right tonsil is large but he doesn’t think there is any white spots. When I shine my light I can notice some! He told me to leave it 3 days then contact gp if it doesn’t go or gets worse.

I’m so worried I have got strep again and could have passed it to my daughter. We share spoons cups etc every day! Does this sound like it could be something little or should I insist I see a doctor tomorrow?

Thanks

I know several people in the last week who’s first sign of Covid was a sore throat/swollen glands. Then a temperature. It may be worth doing a lateral flow?
Hope you feel better soon.

@Authenticcelestialmusic oh really! I will do one in a minute when my partner gets in. I am just worried as I can see some white spots so looks bacterial to me. Really don’t want my daughter getting it and being hospitalised again
