Breast Lump and pain

Hi Everyone,
I was hoping for some advice,
I have had a 'odd' feeling in my left breast for about 6 weeks now, it was aching, a little numb/cold. I went to the GP Friday and she felt a lump, I could not. She did the 2 week referral as my nan had breast cancer. I have pain down my arm and under my arm and across my back which feels like a pulled muscle, this has been there for aboutb6 weeks also, don't know if it is related?
Obviously I am worried, trying to stay calm but it is hard. Any advice would be much appreciated x x

I get v similar and have had to go down the 2 week pathway twice for it. I have fibrocystic breast changes and multiple cysts. I also have duct ectasia (spelling!) and my milk ducts get blocked and leak. All the above causes pain and lumps.

I wish I could tell the difference between cysts and suspicious lumps myself but unfortunately it always needs an ultrasound/mammogram.

Good luck - not every lump is bad news and cysts cause the type of pain you are describing. I got referred to a one stop breast clinic which was great as I found out v quickly what the issue was.

I've got a lump at the minute that's painful when pressed. I went to the doctors and was really lucky and was seen in the Macmillan unit 2 days later. I have to go back on Thursday as the scanner was broken Sad the doctor didn't seem too concerned, my lump moves. She'll scan and possibly biopsy on Thursday. I hope you get your appointment really soon, sorry I don't have any advice about your symptoms x

Thank you for your replies, they have certainly made me feel somewhat better. The pain is bothering me mainly because it is not just in my breast but under my arm and further up my chest and you know how we like to assume the worse!!!!!
Hopefully I will get my appointment soon, I do take a lot of medication as I have intercranial hypertension ( too much fluid around my brain) one of which is a diuretic and I did read somewhere that they can cause breast lumps? , I also have Polycystic ovaries so maybe a hormonal thing?......basically a walking disaster!!
I just feel so unlucky with my health I assume this will be something bad 🙈
