DS2 has got the most awful cough, and a runny nose and a sore throat

The cough isn't a chesty one, just really loose sounding but his coughing fits seem to last ages. His nose has started streaming,a nd he says his throat is sore. I'm trying to decide if Calpola nd cough medcine, or calpol and sudafed or just medised would be best for him.I might keep him off school tomorrow actually, I know its the last day and they will be having fun, but his cough has got really bad.

Poor ds2.

I only found out recently that if you give a chesty cough medicine for a tickly cough it makes it worse. Or it could be the other way around.

You probably know this. I just used to reach for the bottle which said 'cough' on it!

Calpol sounds good to me.
