I’ve seen my toddler grandchild twice in two months. Each time I’ve had the most awful cold, three weeks the first time, 9 days this time, so far. I LFT tested every other day and was negative all the time and am doing so again. Horrendous sore throat, bunged up etc. Lost my voice this time, now been gone three days.
I’m currently continuing to shield due to DH cancer diagnosis.
I was planning to see her again just before Christmas. My Dsis thinks it would be better if I didn’t. I’ve barely been out since March 2020, feel I don’t have a close bond with DGD as I’ve hardly seen her. I keep hoping things will change but they don’t.
I’m wondering how many strains of cold there actually are and feel I am missing out on her being little.
