Below knee cast - will fibreglass be more comfortable?

I'm 1.5 weeks post op in a below the knee backslab plaster of Paris cast. I think I'll be put into a fibreglass next week. For those who have had both, will it be any better? This one is so heavy and generally uncomfortable day and night. I'm counting down the hours until it comes off but praying next one will be an improvement.

It's much lighter...most people prefer them...also funky colours :)
No personal experience but lots of second hand (or foot) experience. Still itchy and sweaty though...better in winter!!

Much lighter and more comfy! Also you get the utter bliss when the cast eventually comes off, of being able to give your leg a good scrub. Honestly it was worth every minute in a cast just to scrub my leg after Grin

That's a relief! This plaster one is awful. 3 more days.
