Does this sound like a trapped nerve to you?

I have a pain going all the way down my left arm into my little finger - sort of dull throbbing (not desperately bad, just nagging) - also a bit tingly/pins and needle-y. It seems to correspond with a knotty/clicky bit just in from my shoulder blade (also on the left) which is now very sore but that could be because I have been kneading/rubbing it a lot. If I rotate my left arm I feel a click where the knotty shoulder blade thing is.

This is the second health thread I have started lately - I am turning into a hypochondriac.

If I see the GP she will just say anti-inflammatories, won't she (which I am taking...)?

trapped nerves are like a shooting pain are they not?

well they are in my back, when i get them from lifting ds and his wheelchair

they give muscle relaxants like valium for trapped nerves, because the muscle has gone into spasm and needs to be relaxed to allow the nerve to become untrapped

I dunno - it's not like a pulled muscle pain. I can't face the rigmarole of ringing the GP for an appointment "sorry, we haven't released those appointments yet - you need to ring at 22 seconds to midnight, when there's a full moon, while standing on one leg and dressed in a toga for an appointment a week on Tuesday..."
