I went to an osteopath with lower back pain and with a diagois of sciatica which she ageed I had and now suddenly she says I have not got sciatica but a tear in my lower back muscle. She has never told me. The only thing she said was that she agreed with the doctor and that I do have sciatica. Now suddenly when I tell them I cannot afford to keep attending the osteopath they come up with this new diagnosis and do not want me to mention anything to my GP. Something is not quite right here. I did in fat mention it to my GP who was aghast that they said dont tell the GP because my GP said lowe back muscle tears are extremely painful and the only way to treat a lower back muscle tear is with firss an MRI or xray to see how bad the tear is and also you need surgery because they do not get better on their own. The very fact that I am in not much discoformt an not in any pain to speak of indicates to both the GP and myself that they are wrong to tell me I have lower back muscle tear.
Is there anything I can do about this? I cannot really complain about it because they are a privately run family osteopath business and so there is nobody I can complain to. All I can do is walk away and never go back. I believe the osteopath clinic do not want me to tell my GP about this new diagnosis because they do not want to be proven wrong because they do not want a bad reputation so that they lose patients because after all, it is the patients that keep their business afloat
Any advice
