Lump on neck

I am a Mother of two young Children (4 & 18 months).

I have a hard lump on the right hand size if my neck just under my jaw a bit bigger than a marble, that does not move. I was waiting to have some blood tests done anyway as I have been losing weight for no apparent reason, and feel constantly exhausted and run down (for 6 months +).

Now i have discovered this lump, I googled and now i am worried sick! Apparently hard painless lumps that don’t move can be a sign of cancer. Mine feels slightly uncomfortable when i poke and prod at it, but definitely isn’t painful.

I mentioned it to the GP and he just arranged the bloods. He didn’t call me in to examine the lump.

Has anyone had any experience with something similar? Xx

I currently have a lump on my neck, but I'm so fed up with being fobbed off that I thought I would check here to see if it's worth paying for some sort of test.
