Any dentists about? Prognosis for bashed baby tooth

My 4 year old dd fell off the couch and bashed her mouth today - she managed to push one of her front baby teeth back up into the gum and it is also sitting pushed back at an angle so that the gum bulges a little at where the root sits. We went to a&e and they did x-rays for us to take to the dentist - what sort of thing do you think is likely to happen when we go there?

Would they just leave it to settle into the new position or is there any way to manipulate it back into position or would they even suggest to extract it? Am now a bit worried as to what will happen as we havent had any teeth problems in the past. My poor girl is in pain and cant eat properly as her teeth arent sitting right - she has gone to bed with a dose of nurofen so hopefully she has a peaceful night.

sorry, don't know, but couldn't leave unanswered....sounds awful and anxiety evoking...

my dd did this a few weeks ago, the dentist said pushing it backwards is the least damaging. There is nothing they can do as such, they do not extract them as it is better for spacing to keep it there. It did harden up in the gum and stop hurting after a few days. She now bites with it etc. It's gone a bit darker and they told me eventually it would fall out but months/years, it would be the first of her baby teeth to fall out.

Can't think of anything else she said.

thanks for the messages. dd went to the dentist this morning and he has said to just leave it as it is and prescribed some anti-biotics as it had been bleeding during the night. we have to go back in a month and they will x-ray again just to montior how it is doing.
