Please hel, my periods have gone beserk!!!

OK a bit of background.....DS2 is 1 on Tuesday, I had an Implanon Implant put in January this year (when he was nearly 1 month old). Started off with a never ending period and then one every 2 weeks or so. They eventually calmed down to once every 6 weeks for a few months. Recently however, I had one 6 weeks ago (quite light) then another 2 weeks later (again, quite light) and I've just 'come on' again today. TMI ALERT Very dark red/brown coloured and so far, again very light. Has anyone else experienced this with Implanon? I understand why my periods were irregular to begin with but surely after a year things should have calmed down (and about 5 months of regular periods)?

Umm you couldn't possibly be pregnant could you? I know you should be able to be, but......

I though that, what are the chances?? I did felt sick a couple of times in the morning last week, sore boobs (just a tiny bit) and very grumpy. But Narrrr, couldn't possibly be....

Bollocks, you've had sex right? Ergo you could be. Go do a test and if you are, get that bloody thing out pronto!

Yeah but you could keep a small country going with the amount I've spent on pg tests in the last couple of years.....oh well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt...

They are about £2 in Sainsburys or get even cheaper ones on ebay if you can wait that long. Or cheaper still, drop a pot of wee at the doctors (not literally hopefully) and get them to test it!

Mmmm, I'm in New Zealand so I'll have to buy one (been to get the free ones at the MW too many times LOL). But SERIOUSLY what are the chances of getting pregnant with Implanon? I thought it was 99.9% effective??

Well I seem to have stopped bleeding almost as quickly as it started. There were some definate blobs of dark red/brown blood in the toilet but now nothing! I'm not sure what to make of this now.....I'll ask my doctor next time we go I think!

OK, I'm peed off now. I've started bleeding again very lightly. Feel sick, a bit dizzy (more out of it really) and mild stomach cramps. I'm going to go to the doctors today. I'm worried that if I am pregnant something is wrong and I'm miscarrying either that or for some reason this implant is suddenly no 'agreeing' with me.
