Pregnant - do I need to get this checked out

Morning Mumsnet. Last night I got a screw in my foot 😬 just under my big toe, it went pretty deep (image attached). Do I need to get this checked out? Is tetanus a possibility?? I'm 30 weeks pregnant (not sure if this makes any difference but mentioning just in case). Thanks for any replies

If you've had your whooping cough vaccine, that contains the tetanus vaccine too so don't need to worry about that. As long as you keep the wound clean I'd leave it and let it heal and only seek further medical review if signs of infection

Ah thanks @bohemia85 that's really helpful to know!

I think at the very least you should mention to your GP for their view. I don't believe a tetanus shot would protect you from sepsis for example but going worse case scenario here (and I'm no medical expert) I don't think you can be too careful when you are pregnant.

No, just keep it clean and keep an eye on it.

Thanks for responses. @RosieLeeD sepsis did cross my mind, but you can get it from an even more minor wound that I definitely wouldn't see a dr about.. probably will just keep an eye on it and keep it clean etc, and watch out for any warning signs
