Back X-ray preparation?

I’m due to get a back X-ray soon due to ongoing joint aches all over my body.

Will I have to undress for this? What should I expect?

They will probably ask you to undress to your pants and give you a gown to wear.

You go into a cubicle, get changed, go out of a different door into the x Ray room, have the x Ray, go back into the cubicle, dress, back out of the original door and back into the world.
How they ask you to lie on the table will be dependent on what/where they are x-raying.
They should put a lead plaque over your ovaries to protect them if your a woman of child bearing age.
The radiographer will stand behind a screen whilst taking the image, to protect him/herself from exposure to the x-rays.
